Dr. Maddox is a native Floridian who has resided in Tampa most of her life. She graduated from Chamberlain High School before obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Registered Nursing from the University of South Florida. After graduation, she was employed as a Registered Nurse for eight years. During this period, she sustained a lower back injury that led her to seek the assistance of a Chiropractor. The chiropractic treatment she received proved to be exceptionally beneficial, inspiring her to pursue a career in this field. Subsequently, Dr. Maddox enrolled at Life Chiropractic University, situated outside Atlanta, Georgia. Upon graduation she received her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. She returned to Tampa in 1982 to establish her own chiropractic practice.
Dr. Jacobsen was born in El Paso, Texas, but grew up in Daytona Beach where he attended Daytona State College. As a young adult, he worked as a lifeguard and often experienced chronic ear infections. Seeking relief, he decided to visit a Chiropractor, where he found tremendous relief from his symptoms. Motivated by his positive experience, Dr. Jacobsen made the decision to attend Life Chiropractic University to pursue his own chiropractic education. Dr. Jacobsen graduated with his Bachelors of Science Degree (Major in Nutrition) and his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. Following his graduation, he returned to Florida and pursued his practice in Tampa.
Over the past 40 years, Dr. Donna and Dr. Mike have successfully treated thousands of patients who have suffered a wide range of neurological and muscular-skeletal disorders as well as sports related injuries, while consistently delivering excellent results. Initially, they utilized traditional chiropractic techniques in their treatments. However, in 2005 they transitioned to the Sigma Method Adjustment Instrument, which employs a non-force computer assisted manual adjustment technique. The Sigma instrument provides a safe, effective and efficient spinal as well as extremity adjustment.
Outside of their professional lives, Dr. Donna enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family. Dr. Mike enjoys biking, water sports, and is an avid car enthusiast.
